Thank you, Tim Berners-lee for creating the thing that is changing our country!
Tim could have close, patented his invention! Using HTTP would be something limited to few people, controlled!
Instead, he had the decency and good will to open his invention to the world! Thanks to that, thanks to such gesture (which probably made him waste the chance of becoming THE most rich man in the world, ever...once there are more people using internet than people using original windows), that it is possible today to organize such movement and motivation across an entire country!

Root3D, the CSS3D environment
Hey folks.
I'm here full of proud to introduce you my new experiment/project, the Root3D.
Basicaly, Root3D is a 3D environment running on your webbrowser based on CSS3 3d effects and html5 DIV elements.
No WebGl, no plugin, just your browser working with HTML5 and CSS3. Of course, JavaScript makes everything work together and there is also some server side programming to save and load projects.
This project is participating at Mozilla derby! Vote on it and help me keep it up!
Root3d Demo
You can use this tool to create your elements and apply 3D effects to them. After that, you can use the browser's console to simply copy the CSS of the element to use it in your page, for example...soon, I'll provie a better way to use the result from your changes.
The first thing I'd tell you, is to check the "gear menu". Its tools are quite useful, specially the help item, which contains the list of shortcuts.
In that menu, you'll see you can load some demos/models I've created to use as example.
Please, notice that Google Chrome has some issues rendering 3D effects! Specialy an annoying bug related to z-index, what stops you from clicking on the menus unless you drag the map aside! Sorry for that! I hope they fix this soon!
On Firefox 11(and 10) it works just fine :)
Changing a Root3d's Element
One of the ideas here is to test the CSS3 3D effects, filters and transforms...annimations as well...and then, have a place where to retest it once the webbrowsers have been fixed. I believe this will help us a lot, identifying bugs and understanding what's happening :)
I really would enjoy a lot if Browser's vendors could get in touch and tell me what they think, what could be done to make it better or to fix problems, and of course, ideas are quite welcome!
If you want to contribute, the source code(which I have to say, I'm still not THAT proud yet...I think it has lots to get better, mainly because I started this way smaller and it just got bigger!) is available at github here:

You can sign in using your Google Account to save or load projects of yours, but you can simply give it a try.
Either way, you can load some cool models...and if you create something really cool, let me know and I may add it as another model for everyone to see it! :)

Eis que o RSJS foi muito bacana!
Em breve subiremos as fotos para o site do rsjs, e os vídeos serão publicados no site da GoNow, uma das empresas patrocinadoras do evento que estava lá representada pela Laura, que tornaram possível esta conferência.
A TargetTrust sorteou dois cursos durante o evento, e a Fernanda nos ajudou bastante com os trabalhos da portaria :)
Além disso, a Mailee sorteou várias coisas legais além de um workshop!
A novatec sorteu dois livros show de bola, também, e a redehost hosteou o site pra gente!
Além de tudo isto, a e-core surpreendeu a galera e sorteou um KINDLE! Gente de sorte! Pena que os organizadores não puderam participar do sorteio! :p
Também quero deixar um agradecimento danado de especial para o pessoal da Grifo que nos ajudou deveras, até com coisas que eles nem precisavam se envolver! Os caras são muito parceiros!
Claro que não posso deixar de agradecer ao pessoal que apareceu por lá! Tava muito bacana e os participantes interagiram pácas, fazendo perguntas, observações e adições muito pertinentes, além de comentários úteis! Valeu pessoal, por demonstrar interesse e marcar presença por lá! Espero que todos tenham curtido bastante e que ainda nos vejamos em outros eventos em um futuro bastante breve, enh!
Tivemos alguns contras, como a água que não conseguia esfriar, hehe...mas o coffeebreak salvou com suco bastante gelado e refrigerantes, além de guloseimas!
Os palestrantes, poh...os palestrantes! Não há muito o que dizer! Todos foram ótimos(espero que isto inglua a mim, também! hehe), pessoalmente, curti muito os conteúdos e achei que os assuntos abordados foram muito bacanas! Acredito que boa parte dos participantes tenham visto as palestras com bons olhos. E aos palestrantes, fica o meu grande agradecimento! Valeu por passar o sábado com a gente, passando conhecimento e trocando experiências!
Tivemos uma inadimplência de18%, aproximadamente, o que já era meio esperado, mesmo...mas o mais legal é que tivemos muita gente de fora, como pessoal de SC e PR, e de BH também! Marcaram uma baita presença!
Do interior, tivemos uma galera que veio de Pelotas, uns de Caxias, Canoas(tá, sei que Canoas não é TÃO longe assim, hehe) entre outros tantos lugares. Vale lembrar que tivemos TODAS as inscrições feitas em apenas 6 horas! Tipo, abrimos as inscrições no site, e em 6 horas já tinhamos 80 inscritos...daí conseguimos liberação para mais 20 lugares, e em outras 2 horas, já não haviam mais vagas novamente!
